You will want to get this floor mat. Not only they are high quality medical grade silicone but actually reduces litter from scattering all of the house and you definitely want to protect the bottom of the little box from scratching because they are absolutely beautiful

I got the L5 without the floor mat but realized I needed one because my bathroom tile was scratching the bottom of the litter box. Sounds silly to add a $98 silicone mat just to prevent some scratches but I’m glad I did. This floor mat design actually traps litter grains from scattering and designed more like sculpted out of a “silicone stone slab”. It’s very thick like a stone and heavy not like the thin silicone table mats. Highly functional and high medical grade.

This is a thick heavy duty pure medical-grade silicone. “Channels” or “Grooves” really do keep litter from spreading and nice modern design.
