I have had litter robots over the past decade or so. They are very expensive, fill up fast, and frequently had connectivity issues. After I adding a couple more cats to my household I realized that I just wanted a large litter box that I can scoop myself but I wanted it sanitary. Plastic is smelly, bad for the environment and you have to replace it.
I still have my litter robots but have now added a L5 and L6 to my household and they are awesome. The turnaround space is awesome. Nothing sticks to the sides. Once the litter robots die, I will replace them with another L5. The litter robots will end up in the landfill too.
I have noticed that my cats prefer to use these over all of the others. Wouldn’t you?
This is the perfect litter box (cylinder!). The smell is gone and the tall sides minimize litter tracking. I will order another!
We got 2 Less Litter boxes in 2022 for my kitty Pico (picture attached). We later got another kitty named June in the same year after having got the Less Litter boxes. We, Pico, and June have been loving these boxes to the point that we're getting a 3rd one which was delivered to us on 7/5/2025. Unfortunately, there was a small defect with the bottom of the box. When I notified Less Litter Care of this issue, West went out of his way to resolve the issue and make sure that we would be happy with what we got. Based on this recent experience, I have to say that Less Litter does not only make wonderful litter boxes that the 4 of us love but also provides excellent customer service.
Love these litter boxes. The urine smell isn’t nearly as strong compared to my old plastic litter boxes.
Yes these are heavy - but it’s also a high quality steel.
Bc these litter boxes are heavy, when I deep clean them, I scoop the litter into trash bags (and when it’s light enough to lift, then I dump the rest) and then carry it over to bathtub to clean.
There’s another stainless steel litter box on the market that has high walls but when you touch it, it feels very cheap, almost plastic-y. Other than that one, I haven’t seen a stainless steel litter box on the market w high walls. And if your cat is a high peer like mine, high walls are needed.
So far there are no scratches on these litter boxes but I use neither a metal litter scooper nor a hard bristled brush or steel scrubber.
The mats are also very good. I didn’t think the type of mat would matter but i have noticed that they’re preventing the litter from tracking everywhere. It’s not 100% but it has reduced it a significant, noticeable amount.
These are by far the absolute best litter boxes ever!! I have purchased five. My cats love them and so do I. They are easy to clean, look great, and will likely be the last ones I will ever have to buy. Definitely worth the investment! The company is wonderful to boot!
